INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH ALLIANCES

Academic & Foundation Collaborations

UPS is intimately associated with mitochondrial health. There are multiple novel therapeutic targets for uncovering molecules that can improve mitochondria dynamics and function. Myto Health has discovered novel mitochondrial modulators using its discovery platform.

Myto Health encourages academic laboratories to contact us with collaborative projects for basic research as well as for translational studies. We are pleased to have collaborations with several leading national and international academic institutions.

By partnering directly with university investigators, medical research centers, and clinical laboratories, we make our specialized UPS technologies, assays, and compound repositories available to accelerate breakthrough discoveries in cellular quality control.

Institutional Engagement Scope

We support investigators across all stages of project development—from initial basic science target interrogation and pilot assay validation to translational co-development in disease models.

Collaboration Frameworks

Basic Research • Translational Validation • Joint Grant Proposals

COLLABORATIVE SCIENTIFIC FOCUS

Collaborative Research Pillars

Translating ubiquitin proteasome biology into shared academic discoveries.

Collaborative interrogation of novel therapeutic targets to uncover molecules that improve mitochondrial dynamics, restore membrane potential, and rescue organellar function across stressed cellular models.

TARGET INTERROGATION

Deploying validated enzymatic assays to quantify ubiquitin E3 ligase activity, monitor lysosomal degradation of damaged mitochondria, and track transcription factor activation driving mitobiogenesis.

ASSAY CO-DEVELOPMENT

Partnering on basic and animal model studies examining recovery from ischemic attack, cardiac dysfunction, muscle wasting (sarcopenia), and dopaminergic neuronal vulnerability in neurodegeneration.

DISEASE MODELS

Foundation Alliances & Grant Co-Development

Translating fundamental discoveries into diagnostic and therapeutic realities requires concerted efforts between industry, academia, and non-profit research organizations. Myto Health actively supports collaborative grant applications and research alliances.

Engaging with disease foundations, such as the Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) and related consortia, to validate poly-ubiquitin biomarker signatures and explore novel mechanisms underlying Parkinson’s and age-related neurodegeneration.

Collaborating with academic principal investigators on federal and foundation research grants (such as NIH and private endowments), contributing proprietary assay platforms, probes, and specialized technical expertise.
